Position

The People Advisor provides operational human resource support and advice to leaders and team members across the employee lifecycle. This role partners with leaders and team members to deliver practical, compliant and people focused solutions that are fair and consistent.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advice to leaders on employee relations, people compliance, safety, wellbeing and injury management that is timely and accurate.

Manage employee relations cases, including consultations, workplace investigations, performance management and terminations.

Manage team member and customer injuries, providing coaching to leaders on how to support injuries in the workplace and mitigate safety risks. This includes supporting the management of non-work-related injuries.

Work with a third party to support team member workers compensation claims.

Assist in managing claims raised against City Beach from the Fair Work Commission and the Workplace Health and Safety Regulators.

Provide proactive education to leaders on employment relations and industrial relations frameworks and changes.

Create and maintain contracts, policies, procedures, toolkits and resources.

Create,



maintain and deliver training content and resources, with a focus on building leadership capability and evolving the team member experience.

Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable Awards, Enterprise Agreements, the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards, maintaining updates to policies, procedures and processes to mitigate risk to City Beach.

Lead and contribute to People & Culture projects and initiatives.

Other duties as directed by the Head of People & Culture and People & Culture Manager.

Skills & Experience

Sound working knowledge of employment legislation, Up-to-date Award framework and National Employment Standards.

Working knowledge of HR Information Systems.

Ability to diagnose people related matters and provide coaching and feedback as required.

Consultative approach and continuous improvement mind-set.

At least 2 years' experience as a HR generalist and tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.

Employment relations advisory experience essential.

Exposure to WHS will be highly regarded.
