About the role
Operating within our Services department working within a small supportive team, you will play a critical role in enabling and guiding our Support Workers to successfully fulfill their roles.
You will act as a key point of contact for our Support Workers, providing guidance, mentoring and workforce support, coordinating engagement, training and compliance activities, and assisting with the resolution of workforce matters to ensure our team is equipped to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred services.
This role offers standard full‑time hours (Monday to Friday) with potential hybrid working opportunities, based out of our West Footscray Head Office.
What you will do
- Support Worker Guidance & Engagement: Coordinate Support Worker communications and engagement activities, providing guidance, mentoring and support to help Support Workers deliver safe, high‑quality and person‑centred services.
- Compliance Monitoring & Systems Tracking: Track, monitor, and update compliance databases regarding First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Checks, Working with Children Checks (WWCC), and related onboarding documents.
- Training Coordination: Develop structured training schedules, assign required online training modules and assist in facilitating learning initiatives across the workforce.
- Service Coordination & Administration: Support onboarding processes, maintain accurate data records, spreadsheets, quotes, and service agreements using platforms like Carelink, Monday.com,
and digital office tools.
- Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively within a close‑knit team to meet key performance targets, refine engagement practices, and ensure privacy and document standards are maintained.
About you
You are an upbeat, collaborative, and organized skilled—a supportive team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and possesses a genuine passion for enabling Support Workers in the disability sector.
- Qualifications & Experience: 2+ years of experience in community engagement, disability services, or a related sector, backed by a Certificate IV (or higher) in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health, or Peer Work.
- Sector & Support Worker Depth: Strong understanding of NDIS Support Worker environments, onboarding protocols, and service coordination practices.
- Technical Literacy & Systems Aptitude: Strong digital proficiency with experience navigating systems such as Carelink, Monday.com, and Microsoft 365, with a high level of comfort learning current technologies.
- Communication & Support Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills with a professional, empathetic approach and strong time‑management skills.
- Mandatory Compliance: Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
