Building Caretaker / Cleaner & Maintenance

Bluestone Owner’s Corporation is seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and competent contractor to oversee the presentation, common area cleaning, and daily maintenance of an apartment building on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda.

This is a flexible contract position requiring approx. 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday to Friday).

Key Responsibilities

Common Area Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and keep shared zones in good condition.

General Maintenance: Plaster repairs, painting, simple plumbing tasks, gutter cleaning, minor roof repairs, light replacements and general upkeep.

Building Management: Monitor onsite issues, manage access fobs, communicate with residents and coordinate building access for external trades.

Requirements

Business Registration: Must hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN).

Insurance Coverage: Must hold valid Public Liability Insurance.

Proven Experience: Demonstrated background in qualified cleaning and hands-on property maintenance.





Highly organized: Excellent organizational skills and capable of planning and scheduling activities.

Communication: Must be fluent in English and have basic computer skills.

What’s on Offer

Competitive remuneration: $75,000 – $85,000 per year

Location: Conveniently situated on Fitzroy Street in St Kilda with parking available.
