The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the independent prosecuting authority responsible for the prosecution of all serious indictable offences committed against the laws of New South Wales. We are an agency of over 1100 staff, working throughout NSW to service the main court centres. Our 10 offices have a mix of Crown Prosecutors, Solicitor Advocates, Solicitors and support staff.

The Role
Lead, coordinate and make an impact. In this senior administrative role, you will work alongside the Manager Legal Support to oversee a large administrative team, ensure the smooth operation of a busy legal office, and champion effective systems, processes and team performance.
Key accountabilities
- Provide high-quality administrative and legal support, ensuring timely, accurate and responsive service delivery across the office.
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operational activities, supporting legal support functions while maintaining office facilities, equipment and security requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance administrative processes, systems and ways of working.
- Manage legal records, data and reporting, producing accurate information and insights to support operational decision-making.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure seamless and effective service delivery.
- Support staff capability and onboarding, assisting with training activities and helping new team members transition successfully into the workplace.
- Coordinate a broad range of office operations, including IT setup and troubleshooting, asset and inventory management, travel arrangements, event coordination, and compliance with security and records management requirements.
About you
- Administrative experience in a high volume legal or other administrative environment.
- Proficiency in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and capability to learn ODPP computer applications.
- You thrive in a busy environment, using your strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
