Careers Consulting Group Pty Ltd We are seeking an energetic, empathetic, and results-driven Student Counsellor to join our team in Parramatta. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective and existing students—evaluating their academic backgrounds, guiding them through course selection, assisting with university/RTO admissions, and providing tailored advice for their career pathways in Australia.

Task & responsibilities

- Career & Study Advisory: Work directly with prospective and current clients on career, study, and employment options by evaluating their academic background, abilities, and future goals.
- Job & Career Readiness: Provide relevant information, guidance, and resources to assist clients in developing practical job-seeking skills and career pathways.
- Individual & Family Consultation: Conduct structured counseling sessions with students and family decision-makers to help them navigate educational choices and expectations.
- Attitude & Goal Alignment: Present clear alternative educational pathways and discuss potential options to help students align their expectations with practical academic and career outcomes.
- Specialized Learning Support:



Provide tailored advice on student learning needs and course options, assisting students and their parents in selecting programs that best accommodate specific educational requirements.
- Inbound & Client Communication: Handle inbound inquiries, follow-ups, and client consultations across phone, email, and digital consultation channels.

Qualification & experience

- Experience: 1–2 years of experience as an Education Counsellor, Student Advisor, or Admissions Officer within the Australian education agency sector.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of Australian higher education, VET courses, CRICOS regulations, and admissions processes.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Nepali, Hindi, Fijian, or Punjabi) is highly regarded.
- Sales & Consultation Skills: Proven ability to consult empathetically while achieving key performance metrics and enrollment targets.

Technical Proficiency

- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., GoHighLevel, HubSpot), client portals, and standard office software.
