Group New & Used Stock Controller - Automotive

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented Group Stock Controller - New & Used to join our supportive team based at our Parramatta or Five Dock dealership. Whilst this role is predominantly based in Parramatta, the role will require frequent travel to our retail sites. Reporting to the Group General Manager of Sales, this role is critical in ensuring smooth operations by managing our New & Used vehicle inventory efficiently, across multiple brands.

About the Role:

As the Group Stock Controller - New & Used, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating vehicle inventory across the Group, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient vehicle movements, and effective stock management processes. While the role will have a strong focus on used vehicle stock control and administration, you will also oversee new vehicle stock operations, working closely with the operational teams to ensure the seamless management of vehicle inventory and the timely delivery of vehicles to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate vehicle stock records, files, registrations, and compliance documentation across all dealership systems.
- Monitor and manage the status of all used vehicle inventory
- Coordinate vehicle movements, transportation, and transfers between dealership sites, auctions, storage facilities, and external service providers.
- Oversee the reconditioning process by liaising with service, detailing, and repair teams to ensure vehicles are sale-ready within agreed timeframes.
- Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate records of vehicle locations, movements, appraisals, and purchases.
- Assist with vehicle inspections, appraisals, acquisitions,



and pricing activities to support inventory growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure stock levels, vehicle mix, and pricing align with customer demand and business objectives.
- Prepare and maintain inventory, ageing, demonstration vehicle, and management reporting while supporting continuous improvement of stock control processes.
- Manage and oversee new vehicle stock, providing guidance, training and support to the team

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience in stock control/inventory management within the automotive industry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in stock management software and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
- Problem solving and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- A proactive and well-organized approach to work.
- A valid driver’s license is a must
- Must be willing to provide/obtain a Criminal History Check
