Status Transport is seeking an experienced MC Truck Driver to join our growing team in Tully, Nth QLD. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a reputable transport company in the Road Transport industry. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining multi-combination heavy vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods across regional and long-distance routes.
Key responsibilities
Operate multi-combination (MC) heavy vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
Operating between Nth Qld, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne
Plan and execute delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet scheduled delivery deadlines
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly
Load and unload cargo
Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
Communicate professionally
Adhere to fatigue management regulations and secure driving practices at all times
Maintain vehicle cleanliness
What we're looking for
A current and valid MC Driving Licence (mandatory)
Proven experience operating multi-combination heavy vehicles in road transport
A clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to safety compliance
Excellent time management and route planning abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical fitness and ability to safely handle cargo
Reliability and professional attitude towards work
Familiarity with logbook requirements and documentation procedures
Previous experience in regional or long-distance transport with refrigerated freight is highly valued
Preferably based in Tully, Innisfail or Townsville. Brisbane may be considered for the right person.
