At Brimarco, we've spent almost 50 years designing and building specialised trailers and vehicles from our Ballarat workshop.

With several exciting projects about to begin and a strong pipeline of work ahead, we're building the next layer of leadership in our workshop across both sides of our business: our heavy-duty trailer production and our custom vehicle builds.

On one side, we design and manufacture heavy-duty drop deck widening trailers used across Australia in transport, agriculture and industry. Built to handle demanding real-world conditions, they've earned a strong reputation for durability, reliability and value.

On the other, we build highly customised vehicles and trailers used across Australia by government, emergency services and industry — from mobile medical clinics and command centres to libraries, specialist trailers and other one-off units. Every build is different, and our team enjoys turning complex concepts into well-engineered vehicles through hands-on craftsmanship, problem-solving and collaboration.

We want to hear from current leaders and future ones alike. Maybe you're already running a team and looking for a new challenge. Or maybe you're a strong welder, fabricator or vehicle builder who's ready to step up and take a team with you for the first time. Or maybe you're not there yet, but it's the direction you want to head — and you're looking for somewhere that'll help you get there. What we're after

Above all, a solid trade background, sound judgement,



and the kind of person a team wants to work for. Formal leadership experience is a plus, not a must — if you've got the skills and the temperament, we'll help you grow into the rest.

A trade background in welding, fabrication or vehicle building

Able to earn the respect of a team and lead by example

Good judgement on quality, sequence & safety, and standards you’ll set and hold to

Organised and level-headed — able to keep a build on track when things get tight

Any experience leading, mentoring or running a team or the drive to start

What you'd be doing

Running the day-to-day on your builds — planning the work, allocating the crew, keeping it moving

Setting the standard for quality, safety and finish, and holding the team to it

Bringing apprentices and newer hands along, and passing on what you know

Working with engineering, purchasing and production to keep builds on schedule

On the tools with everyone else
