The Sales/Procurement Analyst at Worldwide Metal Scrap Pty Ltd is responsible for analysing sales performance, market trends and procurement data to support informed, evidence-based business and organisational decisions. The purpose of this role is to ensure that sales and procurement activities are planned, monitored and reported accurately, that supplier and customer information is well organised and managed, and that management is provided with sound advice on business processes, pricing, supply arrangements and organisational methods. The position supports business operations by improving the efficiency of sales and procurement functions, strengthening supplier and customer relationships, and contributing to the company's commercial and operational objectives.

Job Description

The Sales/Procurement Analyst is responsible for collecting, organising and analysing sales, market and procurement data relating to the company's ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal operations. The role involves monitoring sales performance and commodity pricing trends, evaluating supplier and customer information, preparing reports and recommendations for management, and advising on procurement policies, purchasing methods and organisational processes. The Sales/Procurement Analyst works closely with sales staff, the procurement team, suppliers, customers and management to support informed decision-making, improve business processes and ensure that accurate records and information systems are maintained across the sales and procurement functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Analysed sales data, commodity pricing trends and market information relating to ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals to identify patterns, opportunities and risks,



and prepared reports and recommendations for management.
- Organised and managed procurement information, including supplier records, purchase orders, pricing agreements and contracts, ensuring data was accurate, current and readily accessible.
- Liaised with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to gather, verify and organise information required for procurement planning and purchasing decisions.
- Monitored and evaluated supplier performance, pricing competitiveness and delivery reliability, and advised management on procurement methods and process improvements.
- Researched and prepared briefing notes, correspondence, presentations and routine documents to support sales strategy, procurement planning and organisational decision-making.
- Designed and maintained forms, templates, spreadsheets and databases used to collect, record and organise sales and procurement information across the business.
- Analysed customer sales trends, order histories and enquiry data to support the sales team in identifying business opportunities and improving customer service delivery.
- Maintained confidential commercial files, supplier and customer records, and procurement documentation in accordance with company policy and information management standards.
- Provided advice to management on business, policy and organisational methods relating to sales administration, procurement processes and information management practices.




- Attended sales and procurement planning meetings, coordinated with commercial, industrial and individual clients and suppliers, and supported the organisation's operational and strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Must have a relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
- At least 1 year of full-time relevant experience where a relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification is held; at least 2 years of relevant experience may be required in the absence of a relevant qualification.
- In some cases, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualifications.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, and the capacity to interpret data and follow instructions accurately.
