Pirtek are seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our PIRTEK Coffs Harbour branch. This is a full-time position based in Coffs Harbour. As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site hydraulic hose and fluid power solutions to our valued customers across the local area. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality service delivery and customer satisfaction, making it a cornerstone of our business operations in the Coffs Harbour area.
What you'll be doing
Travelling to customer sites across the Coffs Harbour local area to diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic hose assemblies and related equipment
Conducting preventative maintenance on fluid power systems to minimise downtime for our customers
Installing new hydraulic hose systems and components in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications
Testing and troubleshooting hydraulic systems to identify faults and implement effective solutions
Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used and customer interactions
Providing technical advice to customers regarding hydraulic system maintenance and best practices
Ensuring all tools, equipment and vehicle stocks are maintained in good working order
Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications or significant experience as a hydraulic technician, diesel mechanic or similar trades background
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems and hose assemblies
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively across the North Coast region
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
Physical fitness and ability to perform hands‑on work in varying weather conditions
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Knowledge of PIRTEK systems and products is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
A safety-conscious approach to work and commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards
