ROLE SUMMARY

The Fleet Maintenance Officer supports the delivery of planned and unplanned fleet maintenance activities across the VICSES fleet within an allocated East or West portfolio. Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Lead, the role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance requests, liaising with servicing agents, monitoring repair progress, and ensuring accurate and timely communication with members and internal stakeholders.

The role undertakes operational coordination and administrative tasks to support fleet servicing, repairs and warranty works. This includes monitoring maintenance requests, updating records, and escalating issues in accordance with established processes and service delivery standards.

The Fleet Maintenance Officer plays an important role in supporting fleet readiness and compliance by ensuring maintenance activities are progressed in line with VICSES maintenance requirements, contractual arrangements, and regulatory obligations, while maintaining a solid focus on customer service for VICSES members.

This role is required to participate in the Asset Duty Officer (ADO) roster, providing after-hours support for fleet and equipment issues in accordance with agreed arrangements.
This role may provide support to operational staff during major or declared operations.

Note: This role is located at our Derrimut facility. Daily attendance at the facilty is required. Limited Work From Home (WFH)

We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
