About the opportunity

Following Katestone Environmental’s continued success in helping businesses make informed decisions about their environmental impact, we are seeking a talented early career professional to join our team on a full-time basis. The role is generally office based but field work is required from time to time for site inspections/audits and overseeing site work such as sampling programs.

What we are looking for

A professional with relevant qualifications (Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Science or similar)



and a keen interest in understanding and assessing air pollution. You can demonstrate excellent communication skills and can contribute as a positive and constructive team player. You are innovative and keen to apply the knowledge and tools that you have developed to real‑world problems and projects. You are keen to contribute creatively to problem solving but are also unafraid to ask questions as a lifelong learner.

The following experience and attributes (in order of importance) will be regarded highly, but are not essential for this position:

- High level of skill in verbal and written communication
- Experience in coding (e.g., python, R) and a passion for data analysis
- Experience in air quality dispersion modelling using TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL, ADMS etc.
- Experience in meteorological processors and models including TAPM, AERMET, CALMET, MM5, WRF and GRAL
- Experience with QGIS or similar packages
- An understanding of meteorology
- Experienced in client liaison and project management
- A passion for high-quality outcomes, client service and relationships
- Experience in greenhouse gas, carbon accounting, emissions accounting.

Salary range $80,000 – 95,000 per annum excluding super. Salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
