As our Paralegal, Leasing and Conveyancing, you will help facilitate the legal and property transactions that enable our housing, community and support services to reach those who need them most. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll provide specialist support across leasing and conveyancing matters while contributing to meaningful outcomes for people and communities across Australia.

- Manage end-to-end leasing and conveyancing matters across Mission Australia’s property portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate completion of transactions.
- Prepare, review, negotiate, coordinate finalization of legal documents including leases, licences, contracts, settlements and related property agreements.
- Liaise with landlords, tenants, solicitors, government agencies, internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to progress leasing and property matters.
- Maintain accurate property and legal records, ensuring documentation is compliant, current and readily accessible.
- Support property acquisitions, disposals, renewals and variations, providing paralegal expertise throughout the process.
- Monitor critical dates, obligations and milestones, helping to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
- Conduct property-related legal research and provide guidance on leasing and conveyancing requirements.
- Coordinate settlement processes with internal teams and external legal counsel and assist with due diligence activities for property transactions.
- Prepare reports,



correspondence and briefing materials to support decision-making and governance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance leasing, property, legal and administrative processes across the organisation.

Requirements for success

- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role and relevant paralegal/tertiary qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in a paralegal, conveyancing, property administration or legal support role.
- Ability to interpret legal documentation and manage multiple matters simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
- Accredited Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing qualification advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to liaise with solicitors, landlords, government agencies and internal teams.
- Experience preparing, reviewing and maintaining legal and property documentation.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and briefing materials.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively and exercise sound judgement.
- Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
