My Australia Direct My Australia Direct is now accepting applications for a Horse Trainer/Riderwith M.G. Price Racing & Breeding Pty. Ltd.

Positions arefull-timeand available at Cranbourne, Victoria. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Train and condition thoroughbred racehorses through structured exercise and fitness programs to develop race readiness and maximise performance. Ride and exercise 8-10 horses each morning, with particular emphasis on pace work, timed gallops and jump-outs, to assess fitness, performance and racing potential.

Assess horses' fitness, behaviour and performance during training and implement appropriate adjustments to training and conditioning programs. Educate and develop young horses, including foundation training, pre-training and preparation for racing and barrier trials. Monitor horses' health, welfare and physical condition, coordinating veterinary, farrier and rehabilitation requirements where necessary.

Prepare horses for race meetings, barrier trials and other competitive events, ensuring they are fit, conditioned and ready to perform.



Skills and experience: Relevant qualification and at least one year' full-time relevant experience in a Horse Trainer or closely related role Robust knowledge of horse training, conditioning and handling methods specific to the thoroughbred racing industry. Proven ability to train, educate and develop young horses for racing and competition.

Demonstrated experience in racehorse preparation, including pace work, timed gallops, jump-outs and barrier trial preparation. Ability to ride horses per morning safely and competently in a professional racing stable environment. Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information Ability to work in a team and independently Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses Proven as reliable workers, with excellent horsemanship skills About Company .
