Public Sector People are currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator for a 2 yearcontract with a Local Council in Western Sydney.

About the Role:

Focus will be working with external network partners to remediate issues across the organisation's Layer 3 network environment, as well as playing a key role in the upcoming SD-WAN rollout across multiple sites through 2027/28.

The successful candidate will need strong experience across multi-site network deployments, network configuration, change management and core network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and support network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Work with network partners to remediate existing Layer 3 network issues.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the organisation's SD-WAN rollout.
- Perform network upgrades, configuration changes and other infrastructure activities.
- Manage and coordinate network infrastructure projects as required.
- Install, upgrade and troubleshoot corporate applications, working closely with application owners and vendors.
- Administer and optimise SQL databases.




- Work with the IT Manager to plan and schedule application upgrades and maintenance.
- Monitor the Service Desk and provide proactive Level 2 technical support.
- Escalate complex issues where required and ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to the ongoing stability, security and performance of the organisation's IT environment.

Do you have:

- Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent practical experience.
- Robust experience as a Network Administrator in a complex IT environment.
- Experience supporting multi-site network infrastructure and deployments .
- Strong understanding of networking, network protocols and core configurations.
- Experience with SD-WAN implementations or similar network transformation projects .
- Experience with VMware, Office 365 and Azure .
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
