Australian Digital Health Agency – Sydney NSW

The Compliance and Assurance Advisor plays an important role in supporting the Agency's compliance and assurance functions through regulatory compliance activities, audits, quality assurance, issues management and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Assistant Director and Director, Compliance Outreach, the role contributes to the administration and continuous improvement of the Share by Default extensions program while supporting compliance with the My Health Records Act 2012 and associated legislation. This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen compliance practices, improve processes and promote awareness of legislative obligations across the digital health sector.

The key duties of the position include:

- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and procedures within a compliance, assurance, governance or regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, evaluate evidence and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience delivering compliance activities such as audits, quality assurance reviews, issues management and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships and provide trusted compliance advice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities,



work independently and contribute effectively within a team-oriented team environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including analysing data, maintaining accurate records and producing high-quality reporting.
- Experience supporting business systems, portals or software applications will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the Australian Public Service, digital health, compliance, assurance, governance or regulatory sectors is desirable

Eligibility

Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.
