What You'll Be Doing

As the successful candidate you will

- Provide a high quality, evidenced based clinical service to inpatients with complex needs and their families / carers
- Work collaboratively with MDT members and in partnership with patients and carers to plan and deliver holistic person-centred care.
- Contribute to planning, implementation, and evaluation of the complex care service within the Occupational Therapy department.
- Provide support to less experienced staff and students

You will be supported by the Occupational Therapy Department manager, the rest of the Occupational Therapy team and the hospital multi-disciplinary team. You will have access to orientation based on your background and level of experience as well as a range of supportive clinical specialists. You will receive regular clinical supervision within the role and have access to a supportive network of Occupational Therapists working across the Lower Mid North Coast. Education and training opportunities will be identified and agreed as part of performance development discussions.

About You

The successful candidate will have acute inpatient hospital-based experience,



including the ability to manage a complex acute inpatient caseload and work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to manage complex situations. You will be experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised, with a strong commitment to providing excellent, patient-focused care and outstanding communication skills. You will also have a demonstrated ability to lead the planning and evaluation of team activities, as well as meet the supervision needs of students and less experienced staff.

- * Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
