About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst (Tech BA) to work across source systems, the Databricks data platform and enterprise metadata capabilities.

The role will focus on data discovery, metadata uplift, data governance and translating business requirements into clear technical outcomes.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Gather and document business, data and integration requirements.
- Profile and analyse source systems, including data models, entities, attributes, keys and business rules.
- Develop and maintain technical, business and operational metadata .
- Work with Data Engineers and Data Stewards on Databricks data products and Unity Catalog .
- Develop source-to-target mappings, data-flow diagrams and requirements documentation.
- Facilitate workshops with business SMEs, Data Owners, Data Stewards and technical teams.
- Support data governance activities including ownership, classification, sensitivity tagging and lineage.
- Define data acceptance criteria and support testing/UAT.
- Use AI tools such as Databricks Assistant, Microsoft Copilot or similar tools to accelerate data analysis, documentation, SQL development and mapping, while validating outputs for accuracy and security.

Requirements and Experience

- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst across data, integration or analytics projects.
- Strong SQL skills for data profiling and validation.
- Working knowledge of Databricks, including Unity Catalog and medallion architecture.
- Experience analysing source systems and producing source-to-target mappings.
- Robust understanding of metadata management and data governance.




- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Demonstrable practical experience using AI tools to improve analysis and documentation.
- Current Baseline security clearance.
- Key focus: Technical BA + Databricks + SQL + Metadata/Data Governance + AI-assisted delivery.

Contract Duration: 3 months
