OVERVIEW Overseas Studies and Migration Services (OSMS) is seeking a Registered Migration Agent to join its Melbourne team. The role suits an experienced professional with knowledge of australian migration law, visa matters, and client-focused services. This chance involves working across migration cases, client communication, compliance activities, and collaboration with internal teams in a multicultural environment. The organisation operates across Australia and Bangladesh and provides education and migration services through multiple offices. The position offers exposure to diverse migration matters, opportunities for professional development, and involvement in community engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

- Provide professional advice on australian migration and visa matters.
- Assess client eligibility and recommend suitable migration pathways.
- Prepare, review, and lodge visa applications, submissions, and supporting documents.
- Manage client files and maintain communication throughout the application process.
- Conduct legal and policy research related to migration law and matters.
- Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs and relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with education counsellors and other osms team members.
- Assist with promotional activities, migration-related content, seminars, webinars, information sessions, and community engagement initiatives.




- Support business development activities by promoting migration services professionally and ethically.

Requirements

- Qualification in australian law or migration law.
- Valid australian legal practicing certificate and/or current OMARA registration.
- Valid Migration Agent Registration Number (MARN) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Previous experience in migration law or visa services preferred.
- Strong understanding of australian migration legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client matters.
- Professional, ethical, and client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
