After 21 years our amazing Centre Director has decided to finish up with Cambridge Road Play and Learn. Cambridge Road is a small 60 place centre using a primary care model to strengthen relationships with children and families.

We have a strong school readiness program connected with local schools.

A highlight for the centre is the annual art exhibition tied into our family Christmas event.

Cambridge Road Play and Learn is part of Carlton Street Early Learning specialising in small family focused centres. Carlton Street Early Learning uses relationships with children, families, community and each other as the basis to support every child's learning. All our centres have their own philosophies and operate independently whilst also receiving support from management and the other centre leadership teams.

Qualifications & experience

Having a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved qualification

Demonstrated experience as a Centre Director or in a similar leadership capacity within a childcare setting.

Current WWCC, first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.

Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Development Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Tasks & responsibilities





Manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre in line with legislative requirements, company policies and procedures.

Cultivate a protected, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere for children.

Foster strong relationships with parents and families, promoting open communication and collaboration.

Coach and mentor educators to support them in delivering the best possible outcomes for children

Free annual flu shot, first aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certification.

Experienced leadership support team including the Practice Lead and Quality and Compliance Manager

Uniform provided
