mecwa care is seeking a confident, organised and people-focused Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Home and Community Services centre. This is a rewarding leadership role for someone who enjoys bringing people, processes and service delivery together to create positive outcomes for clients, families, staff and community stakeholders.
In this role, you will lead centre operations, support staff performance and development, respond to stakeholder enquiries, contribute to recruitment and onboarding, and drive continuous improvement across service delivery. You will also play a key role in managing resources, resolving issues, investigating feedback and incidents, and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.

What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the centre and its programs.
- Support, guide and develop staff so they can perform confidently and effectively.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance reviews and workforce utilisation.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, families, staff and internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor service delivery, investigate feedback or incidents, and support timely issue resolution.
- Manage resources and budgets effectively to support quality service outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement across operations, risk, quality and client experience.

practical and values-driven leader who can balance operational priorities with a strong focus on people, service quality and positive client outcomes. You communicate clearly, build trust quickly and enjoy solving problems in a busy service environment.
Essential skills and experience
- Strong operations management skills, with the ability to coordinate people, programs and resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of budget management and responsible use of resources.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues professionally and constructively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience identifying workforce development needs and supporting individual and team performance.
- Strong organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and follow through to completion.
- Initiative, attention to detail, accountability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in rostering and care coordination, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- Confidence using IT applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous experience in a similar Centre Manager or Team Leader role within the community services sector.
- Experience with continuous improvement, risk management systems and related processes.
- Knowledge of CHSP, NDIS, HACC guidelines and the My Aged Care portal.
