Job Description

Flash Freight Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Distribution Manager to plan, organise, direct and control the company’s supply, storage and distribution operations. The position will oversee air freight, sea freight, road transport, warehousing and customs-related operations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, warehouses, customs brokers and international agents to ensure goods are moved efficiently, safely and within agreed budgets and delivery timeframes.

This is a full-time position based in Mona Vale, NSW, working 38 hours per week. Task & responsibilities

- Develop, implement and monitor supply, storage and distribution strategies, policies and operational plans.
- Plan and coordinate the movement, storage and distribution of goods through air, sea and road freight services.
- Monitor operations to ensure client requirements relating to cost, quality and delivery timeframes are met.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing and service arrangements with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, warehouses, customs brokers and other suppliers.
- Monitor cargo tracking, storage and operational systems to maintain accurate records and shipment visibility.
- Oversee import, export, customs and freight documentation.
- Coordinate outward goods and forwarding requirements with clients, internal staff and external service providers.
- Oversee the recording and reporting of supply,



storage and distribution transactions.
- Prepare and monitor operational budgets, supplier costs, freight charges and client billing.
- Manage shipment delays, damaged cargo, service issues and customer escalations.
- Ensure operations comply with customs, shipping, workplace health and safety and other applicable requirements.
- Direct and supervise staff, allocate duties and monitor employee performance.
- Review operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and cost control.

Qualification & experience

- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in logistics, supply chain management, transport, business management or a related field; or At least five years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a formal qualification.
- Demonstrated management experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain or distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight, road transport, warehousing and import/export processes.
- Experience managing carriers, suppliers, contractors and international logistics agents.
- Knowledge of freight documentation, customs processes and operational compliance requirements.
- Solid leadership, negotiation, planning and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using freight management, cargo tracking or logistics reporting systems.
