Rehabilitation Consultant - Psychologist

As a Rehabilitation Consultant (Psychology) at Beneco, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals to recover from psychological injuries to rebuild their capacity, restore their confidence, and return to meaningful work and daily life.

Sitting within our Workplace Rehabilitation team and reporting to one of our Rehabilitation Leads, you will manage a diverse caseload across Workers Compensation (NSW), Compulsory Third Party (CTP), and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) streams. Your clinical work will draw on your expertise across a range of assessment and intervention types, including:

- Psychological Functional Assessments
- Secondary psychological capacity evaluations
- Workplace assessments
- Vocational Counselling
- Workplace facilitated discussions/mediations.

You will also need to build and maintain strong working relationships with referrers, employers, insurers, treating practitioners, and other allied health professionals.

Key focus areas include:

- Managing an active caseload across Workers Compensation, CTP, and WHS referral streams, with a focus on psychological injury and recovery.
- Conducting and documenting high-quality psychological assessments and developing return-to-work and recovery plans tailored to each individual.
- Building genuine stakeholder relationships with referrers, employers, treating psychologists, psychiatrists, and insurers.
- Contributing to team quality and compliance standards, including file accuracy, SLA adherence, peer review, and recover-at-work planning.
- Generating customer feedback and contributing to continuous improvement across the service.

THE PERSON

We are looking for a psychologist who brings genuine skill, strong interpersonal judgement, and a real commitment to the people on their caseload. The right person for this role will bring:

Experience

- Benico are open to those with demonstrated industry exposure,



or to recent grads! Candidates holding provisional registration may be considered where an appropriate supervision arrangement can be confirmed.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an active caseload independently, with strong case formulation, organisation, and attention to documentation quality.
- Confidence engaging clearly & professionally with a broad range of stakeholders, including referrers, employers, treating practitioners, and insurers.
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation frameworks, SLA-driven environments, and the expectations of insurance and self-insured employer clients is highly regarded.

Formal Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements:

- A minimum four-year Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited psychology degree
- AND one of the following pathways to registration:
- A fifth year of accredited study plus a supervised internship; or
- A Master's or Doctorate in Psychology — e.g. Clinical, Organisational, or Counselling Psychology.
- Current AHPRA registration and listing with the Psychology Board of Australia. General registration is required.

Candidates must also hold all of the following:

- National Police Check (current)
- Working With Children Check (current)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- A full, current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
