About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Approved Manager on Duty to join our management team in a permanent full-time position.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the venue, supporting our team and ensuring our customers consistently receive the high standard of hospitality the Full Moon is known for.

Working across our diverse venue operations,



you'll lead teams through busy services, support supervisors and team members, respond confidently to operational and customer matters and ensure the venue operates safely, professionally and in accordance with our policies and regulatory obligations.

Our Duty Managers are visible leaders. You'll be expected to be present on the floor, build strong relationships with our team and customers, communicate clearly and calmly, and lead by example.

We are looking for someone who understands that excellent venue management isn't simply about running a shift – it's about creating an environment where both customers and team members feel welcome, supported and valued.

Your Shift May Include:

Leading the venue and coordinating operational teams throughout your shift

Opening and closing the venue and completing associated management procedures

Supporting restaurant, bar, gaming, TAB and other operational areas as required

Leading, supporting and motivating supervisors and team members during service

Coordinating staffing and responding to operational requirements throughout the shift

Maintaining exceptional standards of customer service, presentation and venue cleanliness

Managing customer feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally

Supporting the training, coaching and development of team members

Monitoring responsible service of alcohol and responsible gambling requirements

Ensuring venue policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently followed

Managing cash handling, reconciliations and other shift-related administrative responsibilities

Responding appropriately to incidents, security matters and emergency situations

Communicating effectively with senior management and completing clear shift handovers

Working collaboratively with the wider management team to continually improve our customer and team experience

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need:

12 months previous management experience within a busy hospitality venue





Demonstrated ability to confidently lead teams in a fast-paced environment

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional customer experiences

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A calm, solutions-focused approach when managing challenging situations

Excellent judgement, accountability and decision-making skills

A positive attitude and team-focused leadership style

High standards of reliability, professionalism and personal presentation

The ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members

Strong understanding of hospitality operations and compliance requirements

Current RSA and RSG certificates

RMLV / Approved Manager / relevant Queensland liquor licensing requirements, or willingness and eligibility to obtain

Availability to work across a rotating hospitality roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
