As a Senior Social Worker – MAPS you will work within the Multi Agency Protection Services (MAPS) to provide high-level social work services to assist daily operations. Situated in Adelaide , you will strengthen stakeholder connections through professional consultation, reporting and information sharing. Liaising with external agencies is a key component of the position to identify child welfare needs and manage risk issues. Your expertise and strong interpersonal skillset will guide your everyday duties in fortifying a holistic approach to child protection.

This is asingle vacancy offered at a part-time capacity of 30 hours per week.

Essential Qualifications:

- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).

In this role, you will:

- Provide ongoing developments to MAPS operations, processes and policies




- Incorporate robust social work practices to enact culturally appropriate intervention methods in a multi-agency setting
- Produce written and verbal reports that accurately inform stakeholders and utilise evidence-based findings
- Liaise with an array of child protection, family violence and child welfare units to respond to risk issues and clientele needs
- Coordinate complex assessments and examine risk and protective factors within a child protection framework.

- You possess a positive attitude and high-level interpersonal skills when conversing with key stakeholders
- You have exemplary knowledge of the developmental stages, vulnerability and resilience of children and young people
- You have exceptional written communication capabilities to generate informative reports
- You integrate sound cultural knowledge to bolster child protection practices
- You can effectively maintain healthy working relationships with internal and external staff.

AHP2: $94,997 - $110,052 + 12% super

- +4% child protection allowance
- +Professional Development Allowance
- +Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.

AHP2 positions are entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
