Currently we are looking for a friendly and hardworking Treasury Officer with a minimum 3 years of experience to join us.
About the role
The position of Treasury Officer reports to the Head of Treasury. The successful candidate will be responsible for one or more of the following Treasury functions, depending on experience and business requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
Identify and manage market risks, including liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and foreign currency exposure according to regulatory requirement and branch's risk appetite.
Monitor daily cash balance and prepare cash flow forecasts to effectively collaborate with key teams on liquidity risk management.
Actively engage in raising short-term funding, including money market, certificate of deposit issuance and other wholesale funding.
Manage the bond investment portfolio, including investment execution, monitoring, and portfolio management.
Provide competitive pricing, market information and transaction support for client FX and derivative activities.
Execute foreign exchange and derivative transactions and manage the Branch's FX positions within approved risk limits.
Technical review of Global Markets and periodic forecast on the markets movement.
Prepare Treasury related reporting documents for Head of Treasury and ALCO for decision making, documents in both English and Chinese where required.
Participate in Treasury system implementation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), automation and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop recent products and services that meet market needs.
Skills and Attributes - Essential:
Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent discipline
Appropriate Treasury qualifications, AFMA/ACI, RG 146
Appropriate understanding of foreign exchange, money market, capital market and derivatives products
At least 3 years' experience in treasury business or customer FX dealing and derivatives business
Experience of working with regulatory bodies and regulatory prudential standards for banks
Ability to develop and implement strategy
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients both within and outside of the bank
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to details in executing deals, transaction booking, preparing reports and conducting analysis
Solutions- and Detail-oriented with a thorough, diligent, and proactive attitude
