Bar H Grazing is seeking a Livestock Innovation Manager to join our team on a full-time basis at our property in River Lea, Comet, QLD 4702.

This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of modern farming practices and livestock management excellence. As Livestock Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across our livestock operations, implementing innovative practices, and ensuring our herd management aligns with industry best practices and emerging technologies. This position is integral to our strategic objectives of enhancing productivity, sustainability, and animal welfare across our grazing enterprise.

Key responsibilities

- Pasture Management and Utilisation – helping us make better grazing decisions and maximise pasture performance.
- Livestock Technology – supporting and developing the use of Halter and other livestock management technologies across the operation.
- Animal Health and Meat Quality – using information and practical observation to support strong livestock outcomes.
- Labour Efficiency and Safety – identifying opportunities to make livestock operations safer, simpler and more efficient.
- Data and Reporting – turning operational data into useful information that supports better decision-making.
- Business Performance – identifying opportunities where changes to livestock, pasture or operating practices can deliver measurable benefits.

Working alongside the Managing Director and operational team to trial, implement and evaluate new ideas.

What we're looking for





We’re looking for someone who combines practical livestock knowledge with curiosity and a willingness to embrace new ways of working.

You’ll ideally be someone who:

- Has experience working with cattle, ideally within Wagyu and/or pasture-based grazing operations.
- Understands practical livestock and pasture management.
- Is comfortable using technology and learning new systems.
- Enjoys working with data but understands that the numbers need to make sense on the ground.
- Can identify a problem, investigate it and help develop a practical solution.
- Thrives in a fast-moving setting where priorities can change.
- Is naturally curious and has a genuine growth mindset.
- Communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively with people across the business.
- Can balance innovation with practical, commercially sound decision-making.
- Experience with Halter or similar livestock technology would be highly regarded, but it isn't essential if you're enthusiastic about learning.
- Attendance at an RCS Grazing or business program, or similar training, would also be viewed favourably.
