Information Management Specialist

An opportunity for an experienced Information Management professional to play a key role in improving information governance, maturity and capability across a large and complex organisation.

This position will act as a subject matter expert across Information Management, working with business and technology stakeholders to implement and continually improve the organisation's Information Management Framework.

What you'll be doing:

- Own and manage the organisation's Information Asset Register
- Drive improvements in Information Management maturity and capability
- Define requirements for Information Management solutions, tools and dashboards
- Work with business stakeholders, IT teams and architects to understand requirements and impacts
- Develop and embed Information Management policies, procedures, standards and templates
- Provide advice around regulatory and statutory Information Management obligations
- Support the implementation of new functionality through training, stakeholder engagement and supporting artefacts
- Translate complex technical and Information Management concepts for a broad range of stakeholders

What we're looking for:





You'll bring 5+ years' experience in a similar Information Management role, with demonstrated experience operating as an Information Management subject matter expert.

You'll also have:

- Experience contributing to the implementation of an Information Management Framework
- Strong understanding of IT architecture and Information Management solutions
- Experience developing and embedding policies, procedures, standards and templates
- Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and change management skills
- Experience interpreting technical and regulatory information and translating it for different audiences
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management or a related discipline
- Experience within Local Government or a similarly regulated environment will be highly regarded
- Current Queensland C Class Drivers Licence

This is an prospect to take ownership of a key Information Management function and work across business and technology to improve how information is governed, managed and used.
