Key responsibilities

Actively work alongside the team on the warehouse floor to set a strong operational pace as required, supervise daily dispatch, and maintain high standards. Responsible for rostering casual packers to meet needs and fostering a positive, peaceful work environment.

Work closely with the Bakery Production Manager to align schedules, balance workflow, and ensure a seamless, uninterrupted transition from production to packing and dispatch.

Oversee inventory management, production timelines, and material ordering requirements for all packaging supplies and housed finished products to reliably fulfill upcoming orders.

Spearhead the transition into advanced systems by introducing scanning technologies, digital documentation, and automated workflow tracking to streamline warehouse efficiency.

Execute daily processing of incoming orders from portals, EDI clouds, and company PO's. Correspond as necessary with customers and key accounts to build strong relationships.

Build relationships with logistics companies, book pick-ups and deliveries with transport providers, and coordinate carrier schedules to ensure tight deadlines are consistently met.

Possess the operational insight to analyse warehouse operations, identify inefficiencies, and proactively introduce continuous improvement initiatives in a friendly, collegiate, and team-oriented manner.

Practical experience with standard packing machinery in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment. Capable of adjusting, setting up, and troubleshooting straightforward mechanical equipment alongside supporting manual packaging lines. Experience operating a walkie stacker to safely move and unload pallets is required.

Maintain deep expertise in food safety management systems, HACCP regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), hygiene, sanitation, and allergen management. Experienced in drafting, implementing,



and enforcing packing and dispatch process documentation.

Demonstrate strong safety leadership, maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and promoting a secure environment on the warehouse floor.

About you

5+ years of hands-on leadership experience in food manufacturing, packing, or warehouse logistics, with proven capability in working alongside teams and scaling operations.

Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.

Strong grounding in HACCP, GMP, and OH&S; / Workplace Safety principles.

Experience implementing or working with advanced systems, digital documentation, barcode scanning, and manufacturing/warehouse management software systems.

Active, hands-on capability with walkie stackers and packaging equipment is required.

Maintain strict standards of organization and audit-readiness across the warehouse facility.

Utilize manufacturing/warehouse management software to track, report on, and achieve core operational KPIs, with a focus on waste reduction, throughput optimization, and capacity management.
