The Opportunity

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Supervisor to oversee and coordinate civil works in our Weipa Operations. This role suits a proactive skilled who thrives in remote environments and is committed to delivering work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate civil construction crews
- Oversee daily site operations including earthworks, concrete works, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards, site specifications, and project requirements
- Support with Project Managers and Department Managers to meet budgets and timelines
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and productivity
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors where required
- Conduct toolbox talks, JSAs, risk assessments, and pre-start meetings
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Read and interpret plans, drawings,



and specifications
- Identify potential issues early and implement practical solutions to prevent delays

About You

- Proven experience supervising civil construction projects, ideally within mining or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of civil works including bulk earthworks, concrete, drainage, and infrastructure projects
- Ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary workforce
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- High level of planning, time management, and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, management, and crews
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, etc.)
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

Requirements

- Manual Driver’s Licence (no restrictions)
- G1,8,9 & G2 Supervision Certificate (or equivalent)
- RII tickets incl - Excavator | Skid Steer | Forklift tickets
- Current Provide First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- High Risk Work Licence (WP highly regarded)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- High Risk Work Licence (WP and/or LF)
- HR licence
- Confined Spaces (renewed every 3 years)
