This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded independent advisory firm that provides M&A; advice to a broad range of clients across the Australian mid-market. On the back of a healthy deal pipeline, the firm is seeking an Analyst to join its Melbourne team.

The opportunity

As an Analyst in the M&A; team, you will support senior advisors across both the origination and execution of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestment and related strategic advice. Day to day, you will:

- Build and maintain financial models and valuation analysis
- Prepare transaction documents, including information memoranda and pitch books
- Conduct industry, company and market research to support live deals and new business
- Liaise with clients, counterparties and other advisers throughout the deal process

Key skills & experience required

- 1–3 years' foundational experience gained in the deals stream of a BIG 4 or Mid-Tier professional services practice, or a similar boutique advisor
- Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to produce polished,



client-ready materials
- Sound commercial judgement and a genuine interest in markets, companies and deal-making
- A robust work ethic and the resilience to perform under tight deadlines during busy deal periods
- A collaborative, team-first approach suited to a lean deal team environment
- Initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility early in your career
- Progress towards, or completion of, CA, CFA or a similar professional qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
