Contract Dentist – Exciting Opportunity in an Established Practice

Sydenham Dental Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team on a contract basis . This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality dental care to our diverse patient community in Sydenham, VIC 3037. As a Dentist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, delivering comprehensive dental treatments and building lasting relationships with our patients. This role is essential to our practice's mission of maintaining the highest standards of oral healthcare and ensuring patient satisfaction and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting thorough patient examinations and developing individualised treatment plans
- Performing a range of dental procedures including restorative, preventative, crown and bridge and cosmetic treatments
- Taking and interpreting radiographs and other diagnostic imaging to inform clinical decision-making
- Providing patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventative care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with assistants and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhering to strict sterilisation and infection control protocols
- Managing patient concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Staying current with developments in dental practice and implementing evidence-based treatment approaches

What we're looking for

- A current and valid Australian dental licence and registration with the Dental Board of Australia
- A recognised dental degree from an accredited institution
- Proven experience delivering general dental care in a clinical setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of contemporary dental practices and techniques




- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and team members
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and infection control
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Skilled resilience and the capacity to manage a busy patient schedule
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of industry advancements
- Experience working in Australian dental practices is highly desirable
