Hardimans Hotel, a respected pub in Kensington VIC 3031, is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef , you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and leading a team of passionate chefs to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This full-time role is integral to the success of our establishment and offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise.

What you'll be doing

- Develop and implement creative and innovative menu concepts that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce
- Manage and mentor a team of chefs, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a exceptional guest experience
- Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall culinary offering
- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment within the kitchen team

What we're looking for





- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within the hospitality industry
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing creative menu concepts that showcase seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team of chefs
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
