An independently owned, award-winning ASAV Accredited Veterinary Hospital of Excellence in Sydney's Upper North Shore is seeking a vet to join the team.

This part-time position offers approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, including two to four consulting shifts, with the option to add a surgery shift in the future. The role would suit a veterinarian committed to a career in general practice who values thorough case workups, excellent client communication and high-quality patient care.

The practice prioritises veterinarian well-being and provides 30-minute primary consultations, allowing clinicians time to build strong client relationships and deliver comprehensive care without overbooking. Rosters also include consult-free time for completing records, reviewing pathology results and accommodating triage cases.

The successful applicant will join a well-supported team of 6 vets, with a high ratio of support staff to veterinarians. The wider team includes experienced nurses, veterinary hospital attendants and a dedicated customer care team. Several veterinarians hold ANZCVS memberships, Masters or CertAVP qualifications. They regularly host visiting specialists/veterinary sonographers.





Strong surgical and/or dentistry skills would be welcomed but are not essential. The employer is happy to consider an experienced veterinarian seeking a consulting-only position. Support can be provided for veterinarians returning to clinical work following a career break.

The salary is negotiable from $100,000 to $140,000 per annum plus super (pro rata for part-time hours) depending on experience, qualifications, expertise and availability. Remuneration will be reviewed after six months.
