Surveyor - Mackay, QLD - relocation and career opportunity!

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Surveyor to join our Mackay based team.This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their surveying career, progress their registration with the surveyors board, whilst being mentored by a team of highly talented and energetic industry leaders utilising modern equipment and technologies.

Key responsibilities

Provide expert advice, management & instruction on a range of surveying projects.

Develop and maintain a strong client base in the infrastructure and development sectors.

Perform fieldwork, calculations, data processing & management of the total project, including liaison with clients, communication within the business and assisting with budgets, accounts.

Provide operational support to the Team Leaders and Survey Manager in relation to resource planning & staff mentoring.

Adhere to the company’s work, health & safety policies.

About you

Current Queensland registration, eligibility for registration, or equivalent interstate/New Zealand surveying registration. RPS will support and fund suitable interstate and New Zealand candidates through the Queensland registration process.

Experience in a surveying role covering a range of projects

Demonstrated ability to manage projects. Experience in the ability to also manage clients and lead, and mentor staff will be highly regarded

Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment and software - experience with Trimble instruments would be highly regarded, as would proficiency with 12D.

Ability to work in a technically complex environment and deliver project milestones.

Good technical and communication skills
