This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities professional to join a high-performing team in a full-time Relief Building Manager capacity.

The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for a motivated and passionate Facilities professional to join this amazing organisation as a full time Relief Building Manager to provide cover across a portfolio of premium commercial assets throughout Sydney.

Reporting to a Senior Building Manager, the position provides broad exposure across property, asset management, projects, operations and risk.

This hands-on role will see you working across multiple properties, managing day-to-day building operations and engaging closely with customers, contractors, consultants and internal specialist teams.

You will help ensure each property operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while providing professional and responsive service to customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide relief cover for Building Managers across the Sydney portfolio.
- Manage day-to-day building operations, maintenance and presentation.
- Coordinate contractors and specialist service providers.
- Ensure properties operate in accordance with legislative, WHS and compliance requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Undertake property inspections and identify maintenance,



presentation and risk issues.
- Participate in compliance activities, audits and risk inspections.
- Support projects and major works while minimising disruption to customers.
- Maintain accurate operational, maintenance and incident records.
- Coordinate emergency property assistance, including participation in a 24-hour emergency response requirement.
- Identify practical solutions to operational issues and engage specialist expertise when required.

About You

You will be an experienced property professional who enjoys being close to the asset and is confident managing the operational requirements of commercial buildings.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience in building management, facilities management, property operations or building services.
- Commercial property experience and strong building services knowledge.
- Understanding of building compliance, BCA and WHS requirements.
- Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service capability.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Sound judgement and an understanding of operational and compliance obligations.
- Current Australian driver's licence and First Aid certification.
- Industrial property experience would be advantageous.
