Nexgen Pest Control is seeking a Pest Control Technician (Qualified or Trainee) to join our growing team in Shepparton, VIC. This is a full-time position offering an exciting chance to develop a career in the pest control industry. What you’ll be doing

Conducting site inspections and assessments to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatment solutions

Applying pest control treatments using industry‑standard methods and equipment safely and effectively

Installing and maintaining pest control systems, including traps, baits and monitoring devices

Providing advice to clients on pest prevention, treatment options and maintenance recommendations

Maintaining accurate records of all treatments, inspections and client interactions

Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations at all times

Building positive client relationships through professional communication and reliable service delivery

Keeping up‑to‑date with industry best practices, new treatments and emerging pest management techniques

Supporting team members and contributing to a collaborative workplace culture

What we’re looking for

Qualifications and experience: For qualified applicants, a valid pest control technician certification or licence is essential.



Trainees must demonstrate a willingness to obtain relevant qualifications and certifications. Relevant experience in pest control, hospitality, facilities management or similar environment is advantageous.

Technical knowledge: Understanding of pest behaviour, identification, and control methods is highly valuable. Knowledge of chemical safety, application techniques and pest control equipment is preferred for qualified candidates.

Physical capability: The ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, and to lift and carry equipment safely.

Reliability and attention to detail: Strong organisational skills, accurate record‑keeping and the ability to follow procedures consistently.

Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to interact professionally with clients and team members, explaining treatments and recommendations clearly.

Problem‑solving: The capacity to assess pest control challenges and identify effective solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

Valid driver’s licence: Essential for travelling to client sites across the Shepparton region.

Health and safety mindset: A commitment to workplace safety protocols and environmental responsibility.
