Due to recent business growth, we are currently seeking a dynamic multi-tasking Transport Allocator.

Key responsibilities for this role:

- Scheduling fleet via a VBS Booking system and Containerchain software to maximise fleet capacity.
- Frequent communication with drivers and MEDLOG co-workers.
- Liaising with drivers, customers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Planning & allocation of Drivers daily jobs, both FCL delivery and MT Collections.
- Ensuring all freight movements and information is entered and available.
- Active participation in MEDLOG's Fleet Maintenance strategy.
- Planning of work for next day.
- Strong safety culture
- Supportive team

About you:

- At least 3 years' experience in container fleet allocating.




- Knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility.
- Extensive knowledge of equipment types/trucks required for jobs.
- Well organised and can prioritise workloads on an hourly / daily basis.
- Can plan, and think quickly and strategically.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work fast-paced workplace and handle multiple tasks.
- Able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.
- Great team player but also able to work independently.
- Have a sound knowledge of current Main Roads Regulations + PBS defined routes.
- Have high level computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Proficiency in transport management software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of Container Chain / MT Data / 1Stop VBS is desirable.
- Understanding of weight limit under HML.
