Boilermaker / Fabricator - Steel Manufacturing

We are a privately owned, family-operated manufacturer of premium steel and aluminium road transport equipment based at the Port of Brisbane.

With over 40 years of industry experience, we've built a reputation for quality workmanship, innovation and reliability. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Steel Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team.

Working within our production team, you'll be involved in the fabrication and welding of heavy transport trailer chassis and structural components in a modern manufacturing facility alongside a skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

As part of our steel fabrication team, your responsibilities will include:

- Fabricating and assembling heavy steel trailer chassis and components
- MIG welding of structural steel components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Measuring, marking out,



cutting and fitting steel components
- Grinding, finishing and preparing welds
- Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in steel fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong fabrication, measuring and fitting skills
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Robust commitment to workplace safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence

Highly Regarded

While not essential, experience in the following will be advantageous:

- Heavy vehicle or trailer manufacturing
- Structural steel fabrication
- Fabrication jigs and fixtures
- Forklift licence
- Overhead crane experience
- Manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
