Lloyd St Tyre and Auto Service is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis in Moe, VIC 3825. This is a position within our service department, where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles to the highest standard. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our customers whilst maintaining the reputation Lloyd St Tyre and Auto Service has built in the local community.

Key responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and manuals
- Perform routine maintenance services
- Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and cooling systems
- Conduct inspections and safety checks on vehicles to identify potential issues
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, organised and well-maintained
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

- Completed Certificate III or IV in Automotive
- Current driver's licence (manual and automatic)
- Proven experience working as a Motor Mechanic in a busy service environment
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and suspension




- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and computer-based vehicle systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid tooling and willingness to maintain and upgrade tools as required
- Knowledge of current vehicle safety
