This role combines admin duties with day-to-day practice coordination while also supporting the smooth and effective running of the practice by overseeing the operational, administrative and recruitment of the practice. You will be required to cover for other staff members when needed.

Key responsibilities

Patient communication and interaction with patients, doctors, allied health, insurers, and other company contacts

Appointment scheduling and booking

Billing and accounts management

Handling of medical records

Phone management and record-keeping

Working collaboratively within a medical or administrative team

About you

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in phone management, appointment booking, record-keeping, and billing

Experience with medical practice management software, Best Practice is highly regarded

Ability to work collaboratively within a medical or administrative team

Positive, self-motivated, and energetic attitude





Patience and resilience when dealing with challenging situations

Fast and accurate data entry skills

Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Caring and professional approach towards colleagues, patients, and doctors

Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills

Experience with medical software (preferably Best Practice), HotDoc and medical terminology

Previous experience in medical reception (minimum 1 year)

Understanding of NSW WorkCover practices

Understanding of Privacy Laws
