Public Sector People are working closely with councils in the eastern and southeastern suburbs to recruit an Asset Protection Permit Officer for a 3-month temporary contract.

Location: East and southeastern suburbs

Duration: 3-month temporary contract

Rate: Band 4

Working arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

- Review and assess Asset Protection and related permit applications, including appeals against unsuccessful applications.
- Assess permit and consent requests from Public Authorities, developers and contractors, ensuring applications meet Council requirements.
- Review Traffic Management Plans and identify where additional permits, approvals or referrals to other Council departments are required.
- Process a range of applications and requests




- Assist with updating the database with results of investigations, recommendations and legal notices
- Provide outstanding customer service by dealing with incoming queries
- Where appropriate, educate the community around Local Laws and other relevant regulation and Acts that protect the amenity and infrastructure of the community

Key Criteria

- Solid administrative background
- Traffic management experience is essential
- Ability to read, design, implement and assess traffic management plans.
- Ability to deal with challenging customers
- Local council experience is highly regarded
