We're recruiting for a client of ours — a growing container transport business based in Chullora, Sydney, with a fantastic, close-knit team — and we've got two Transport Allocator roles to fill: one on day shift, one on night shift.
If you've worked in container transport or wharf cartage, this will feel familiar. You already know the pace — trucks in and out, tight turnaround windows, drivers who need an answer now, not in an hour. That world is exactly what this role is about.
You'll need thick skin for this one — it's transport, and it doesn't slow down for anyone. If you rattle easily or take things personally, this isn't the role for you. We're after someone who's a genuine self-starter, thinks on their feet, and doesn't need to be told twice.
Day shift (6am–4pm) sits in a busy, high-energy office of 10+ — phones ringing, banter flying, everyone pulling their weight. You'll be allocating loads, managing driver schedules, staying on top of empty container collections and detention, and hitting the daily on-time delivery target across a 20-truck fleet.
Night shift offers real autonomy within a small, tight-knit team — you'll be the second Allocator joining nights, working alongside the current night Allocator and a forklift operator.



You'll start on an afternoon shift before transitioning to nights (6pm–4am) once you're confident running things. It's quieter and more independent than day shift, and suits someone who's happy taking ownership without a big office around them.
Either way, you'll need a robust working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements.
Want to pick up a weekend shift? It's there if you want it, paid extra, entirely your call.
A generous salary package is on offer, depending on experience.
You'll need:
Solid working knowledge of One Stop and ContainerChain
Experience working within a Transport Management System
Comfortable using navigation systems and juggling multiple systems at once
Solid multitasking skills — just as comfortable on the phone to drivers as you are assisting clients where needed
Ideally, you'll come from a container transport background:
Container transport allocation or dispatch
Wharf cartage allocation or dispatch
Container transport operations or logistics coordination
