Do you love meeting people, keeping things organised and being at the heart of a busy community? Barker College is looking for a warm, professional and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our amazing Administration team.

As one of the first people our visitors, parents, students and staff meet, you'll help create a welcoming and positive experience from the moment someone walks through the door or picks up the phone. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in keeping the School running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

Welcoming visitors with a smile and providing exceptional customer service

Answering and directing phone calls and email enquiries

Supporting staff, students and families with day-to-day enquiries

Assisting with administrative tasks across the School

Being a trusted and professional ambassador for Barker College

Our Main Reception operates:

Term Time

7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Term Breaks

9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

You will be working in rotation following shifts:

7:30am to 12:30pm, and or 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Working approximately half of each term break period as part of the reception team roster

About You

You are someone who:

Loves helping people and delivering great customer service

Thrives in a busy environment where every day is different

Has excellent communication and organisational skills

Is confident using Microsoft Office and administration systems

Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a confidential close-knit team

Brings a positive, can-do attitude and a welcoming presence
