Production Scheduler / Coordinator (Manufacturing & Production)
An established engineering and manufacturing business based on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
They design and build special purpose equipment used across a range of mission critical sectors, Defence, data centres, large manufacturing plants.
This job is perfect for a well-organised administrator, coordinator, planner or scheduler with 5+ years behind them wanting to start a new role with real growth. Applicants from manufacturing, construction or project admin will be favoured. You don't need to be a trade or engineering expert, you need to be organised, well spoken, versatile and quick to learn. They'll coach and train you on the rest.
What You'll Be Doing
Production Scheduling:
Assist with the master production schedule to meet delivery dates
Job Sequencing:
Sequence jobs based on machine, material, and labour availability
Adapting to Change:
Re-sequence work quickly when supply delays or variations happen
Shortage Control:
Track long-lead parts and flag shortages before they stop the floor
Milestones:




Track key milestones for deliveries and attend weekly production meetings
Engineering Liaison:
Coordinate with engineering teams to keep production on track
Admin Support:
Raise works orders, maintain shop paperwork, and book inspection/dispatch slots
Floor Check-Ins:
Spend about 10% of your time on the factory floor checking progress with leading hands (the other 90% is office-based).
What You'll Bring:
Experience:
5+ years in administration, coordination, planning, or scheduling.
Tech Skills:
Solid Excel skills. ERP/MRP experience is a bonus (training provided).
Traits:
Well-organised, a clear communicator, and highly adaptable.
Communication:
Comfortable collaborating directly with tradespeople on the floor.
What's In It For You:
Salary:
$75,000 to $90,000 base, depending on experience.
Work-Life Balance:
4.5-day week (7:00 am – 3:00 pm, with a half-day Friday).
