About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experience Service Repair Technician to work in our facility in Melbourne. The Service Repair Technician is required to effectively diagnose and repair returned product in accordance with the company’s policies to achieve the best customer experience.

Suitable candidates should preferably have experience in the following areas:

Experience with Assembly and repair of Electronic Instruments.

Calibration and measurement Technologies.

Ability to read Schematics and PCB files.

Experience in hand soldering of PCBs.

PCB Soldering skills of SMD components down to 0402, BGA, QFP, and other small pitch packages

Good Documentation and Communication skills.

Other Skills Requirements:

Excellent Spoken and Written English is essential.

Familiarity with electronics and electronic equipment.

Be able to work with Hand tools and power tools in the assembly and disassembly of equipment.

Proactive approach to work





Be able to maintain a clean and organised workspace.

Electronics Technician or Electronics Assembly Experience are preferred.

Experience with MS Office applications - Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to work independently when required

A strong technical aptitude with problem solving skills

Ability to work to set KPI's and self-manage time

Self-motivated, Practical Problem Solver.

Your duties will include:

- Work with Service Coordinator to ensure repair and return of test equipment to suit customer requirements
- Carry out repair and maintenance, service actions and other routine tasks according to customer requests and contract obligations
- Ensure high standard of service, skill, ability with current products, and efficiency through training
- Work with coordinator to ensure effective scheduling of works

A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics/Electronics or equivalent tertiary qualification OR Graduate Engineer in first years of professional practice OR demonstrated industrial experience that meets the above criteria.

KnowledgeofAutomotive instrumentation would be highly regarded, along with experience in a similar role.

Experience with the repair and calibration of Scientificand other electronic measurement systems is desirable.
