Financial Accountant - (6-Month Contract)

Salary Package: $55 - $60 per hour + Super

You will play a key role across month-end accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations and inventory accounting, while working closely with the wider finance and manufacturing teams. The role would suit a Financial Accountant who has experience operating in a manufacturing environment and is confident working with Microsoft Dynamics.

Role Overview

Reporting into the finance leadership team, this Financial Accountant role will provide hands-on support across the core financial accounting function while the business progresses through a period of significant systems and process transformation.

You will be responsible for month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting and supporting the broader finance team with accurate and timely financial information.

The role will also involve working closely with manufacturing stakeholders to understand costs, inventory movements and financial performance, as well as supporting the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics.

This is a hands-on role suited to a Financial Accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly adapt to new systems, processes and business requirements.

This is initially a 6-month contract , with potential for extension depending on business requirements.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and support month-end financial reporting and close processes
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support inventory and manufacturing accounting processes
- Assist with financial reporting, analysis and management reporting




- Work closely with manufacturing stakeholders to understand costs and financial performance
- Support ERP implementation and process improvement initiatives
- Utilise Microsoft Dynamics across financial accounting and reporting processes
- Assist with audit requirements and statutory reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced Financial Accountant with a robust understanding of financial accounting principles and hands-on experience operating within a manufacturing environment .

Microsoft Dynamics experience is essential , along with a strong understanding of month-end accounting, reconciliations, inventory and financial reporting.

You will ideally bring experience working within a consumer products, FMCG or manufacturing organisation and be comfortable partnering with operational and manufacturing stakeholders.

Strong Excel skills are essential, along with the ability to work with large datasets, analyse financial information and identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.

Experience supporting an ERP implementation, system upgrade or broader finance transformation project will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you will be hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment where you can make an immediate contribution.
