Community Engagement Officer | Aged Care & NDIS

Simply Helping South Brisbane is looking for a confident and engagingCommunity Engagement Officer to represent our in-home aged care and disability services across the community.

This is a casual, field-based role suited to someone who knows the home care sector, enjoys meeting people and can confidently represent a business independently. Training, resources and ongoing guidance will be provided.

You will:

- Manage information kiosks at shopping centres and proactively engage with the public
- Represent Simply Helping at aged care, disability and community expos
- Deliver short information and awareness sessions at retirement villages, residential clubs and community groups
- Attend local networking and community events
- Occasionally conduct face-to-face outreach to Support Coordinators, Aged Care Case Managers and other referral partners
- Confidently explain our services, answer general enquiries and capture leads for follow-up
- Previous aged care, home care and/or NDIS industry experience
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Card / Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR

Essential Requirements

- Previous aged care, home care and/or NDIS industry experience
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Card / Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Australian working rights

- Confident approaching and starting conversations with new people
- Warm, professional and naturally engaging
- Knowledgeable about in-home aged care and/or NDIS services
- Comfortable speaking to individuals and presenting to groups
- Able to represent the business independently
- Reliable, proactive and well organised
- Adaptable with availability for kiosks, expos, presentations and occasional stakeholder visits
- Looking for an ongoing casual role with long-term commitment
