Motacare is a leading roadside service provider operating across the Bendigo, Ballarat, Koo Wee Rup, Shepparton, and Torquay regions, featuring RACV Accredited Auto Workshops at four of our key locations.

To maintain our high standard of response and customer care, we are seeking a highly motivated, sharp, and friendly full-time Dispatcher to manage our fleet, optimise routes, support our roadside teams and assist with other administrative functions.

Work Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off rotating roster (12-hour shifts). Requires flexibility for weekdays, after-hours, and weekend callouts, along with occasional travel to other depots for training or support.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Management: Coordinate and assign jobs/routes to our roadside team based on emergency priority, job location and availability while ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.

Driver Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, keeping the roadside team on track throughout the day, updating them on job scope changes, and assisting with routing issues. Providing real-time support and problem resolution.

Customer Communication: Communicate accurate delivery timelines and updates to members and stakeholders. Gather job details, and set realistic arrival windows.

System Administration: Input job notes, and member details accurately into our system.

Data & Tracking: Monitor vehicle GPS tracking, record delays, track statuses, and dispatch based on location and availability. Provide daily and weekly updates to management on missed KPI’s.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure drivers adhere to hours including overtime and callbacks, regulations,



and safety protocols.

Administrative Functions: Assist the management team with administrative functions as required.

Key Requirements & Skills:

Experience: 2+ years of dispatching/scheduling or logistics experience and customer service.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a explicit, assertive phone presence.

Multitasking: Ability to prioritise urgent demands in a fast-paced environment without missing details.

Tech Savvy: Proficient with GPS tracking, dispatch software, and basic office programs (Excel/Word).

Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills to resolve delays, weather detours, or vehicle breakdowns on the fly.

Geography Knowledge: High familiarity with the local regional areas and traffic patterns and ability to use mapping to coordinate jobs with maximum efficiency.

Patience & Empathy: Ability to de-escalate stressed customers experiencing roadside emergencies and roadside teams attending these calls.
