As a Membership Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales of Fernwood's comprehensive range of health and fitness memberships to new and existing clients. You'll be a key part of our sales team, managing enquiries from the initial conversation through to tour, follow-up and membership, while delivering an exceptional experience along the way.

This is a genuine sales role for someone who enjoys building relationships, working to targets and taking ownership of their results.

Key responsibilities

Actively engage with potential members to understand their individual goals, needs and motivations and recommend the most suitable Fernwood membership.

Build genuine rapport and create conversations where women feel heard, understood and confident about taking the next step.

Conduct engaging club tours and confidently present our memberships, facilities, programs and services.

Follow up enquiries, leads, referrals and prospective members consistently and professionally.

Convert enquiries and opportunities into memberships while meeting and exceeding individual and team sales targets.

Identify opportunities to generate new leads and build relationships within the local community.

Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive experience from the first enquiry through to becoming a Fernwood member.

Identify opportunities for existing members to upgrade their membership or access additional Fernwood products and services.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales activities and member information.

Maintain excellent product knowledge so you can confidently communicate the benefits of our memberships, programs and services.

Has a passion for health, fitness and providing an exceptional customer experience.





Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can build rapport quickly.

Is confident speaking with people face-to-face and on the phone.

Is comfortable with follow-up, handling objections and asking for the sale.

Has strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Is highly motivated and driven to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.

Takes ownership, is proactive and looks for opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.

Can work independently while also being a strong team player.

Is organised, reliable, professional and able to manage multiple priorities.

Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the fitness, health or wellness industry, is highly desirable.
